Big sweetie!

Time truly slows for no one! Hayes is three months today. He just keeps on getting bigger and bigger and heavier. At two and a half months Hayes was tipping the scales at 16 lbs. He is wearing 6 month clothes now and 6 or 9 month pj's. When it comes to growing, our kids don't mess around. He is such a sweetheart. We all adore his cute smile, his coos (and other noises), and who can resist kissing those cheeks... not me and especially not Bo!

Tough Love!

Do You have a baby in need of tight hugs, hard kisses, and even some mauling? Then Bo's your man. He is the ultimate lover, but it doesn't apply to moms or anyone that asks for it.
Bo has a soft spot for Hayes. He will search the whole house just looking for his binky when he cries and he'll even share his prized possession- his star blankie. Bowie is such a great big brother, Hayes hasn't realized it yet (you can tell how much he loves it by this look) but someday he will...hopefully.

Happy Two Months Hayes!

You'll think lock Him in a closet!!!

So we come home the other day and there is a two page note on the door step, thinking nothing of it (I knew it was from one of the neighbor kids) I stepped over it and rushed inside to get out of the retched heat. Later I grabbed it on my way out the door and began to read. Keep in mind this is written by a 4 year old and a 5 year old with the help of an 8 year old sister. It went something like this...

Braxton you are sexy

"SEXY?...are you kidding me?" - my thoughts

Me and so-and-so ( names will remain anonymous) like you. So-and-so wants to lock you in a closet and kiss you!

"Aw Heck No" - the nice version of my thoughts.

It went on a few more lines, it doesn't matter what was written I got the gist!

Now you all may be thinking I'm overreacting, but this is my little boy and I have the right to overreact. I am now beyond scared for the years to come with my THREE boys. I know how CRAZY girls are with affairs of the heart, I was obviously unaware of how early it begins. Thanks for the warning you crazy little neighbor girls!!! Oh and by the way if anyone is locking him in a closet, it will be me to keep him away from you.

What a Blessing

Our Grandma Janet as well as our Aunt Cathy, Uncle Kelly, and cousins Mandy, Kristin, and Billy came from California for a little Hickman family reunion last week. We had such a great time hanging out at Brian and April's with them and wished we got together more often. We also had a ton of people from my side come into town, including my mom, brother, sister in-law, G & G Peck, Aunts, Uncles, and cousins. We blessed Hayes Sunday, the same day as my cousin blessed her twin boys.

Matt teased that he had the final say of what Hayes would be named and that he was going to change it to Raeder. Luckily he didn't, or he would have been sleeping at the church.

We had a nice time at the luncheon after. We are so grateful for the amazing family we have and for all of their support and love. Thank you to everyone for helping cook, set up, and clean. There were a lot of people between me and Dallas and we couldn't have done it without our families. We are truly blessed.

Here are some pics of the little guy we have been blessed with.

Hayes fussing in his blessing outfit. (one of the only pics I got of just him, I am such a slacker)

4 Generations- too bad G-ma Gladys wasn't here to make it 5.

Our 4 generations with my cousin and lifelong friend Dallas, her boys, and her dad. I'm sure I speak for everyone when I say I really missed my Aunt Lari (Dal's Mom) that day. She is so special, what an impact she made on all of us. Especially her kids- they are amazing and strong.

Update

Last week we spent the week with my family in Lehi. On our way we took a little detour to visit my sister in Mount Pleasant. Brax fell in love with her house and asked to live with her for a while. Horses, Owen (the dog), the great outdoors, and one of his favorite people- Randee, Brax was lovin life. We had a great time with her and her family, You're the best Rand.

We left there and went to my mom's in Lehi to enjoy the festivities; the horse parade, the miniature parade, and of course...the Lehi Round-Up! Brax talked Randee into leading him on a horse in the hot sun through the horse parade. He looked so cute riding St. George style (swim wear and shades) and she was such a great sport.

We went to BBQ's, parades, and the carnival. We also had lunch in the park with some of my old friends, roasted marshmallows at Jayce and Becky's, Brax went fishing with his cousin Bronson, and we went to the rodeo with the my family. And if our stay wasn't busy enough, on our way home we saw my G & G Peck, my Mom, my Brother and sister in-law, my Grandma Murdie and cousins, and Grammy and Grandpa Oso. We got home around ten Sunday night and I'm still trying to adjust and get back into the swing of things.
