He has wanted to mutton bust (ride a sheep) for some time now and this year it was a Dream-Come-True, they drew his name out for the St. George Rodeo. This little cowboy was so excited he even used his Birthday money to buy a new cowboy shirt and belt buckle! So this is what 6 year old dreams are made of.
Here it is!!! The long awaited Mutton Bustin' video.
Brax scored an 88, the highest score of the night. And came away with only a few little scratches on the arm! Way to Go Brax. My sister was right, he's hooked (Next year he claims he's going one handed)!
The champion holding his prized sheep trophy and his proud city-slicker, little brother.

Im so glad johnny hafen showed me your blog! Now I can keep tabs on your cute fam! Love you guys!
Way to go Brax!!! I love it when he said "I am going to ride it until it is tired" You should be so proud, or I should say Randee should be so proud.
Seriously though were you scared to death to let him do this?? Paige wants to ride one so bad. Luckily she is still to little but I don't know what I will do when she is actually old enough to do it.
Tell him I am going to make him a pair of chaps, and a belt with his name on it.

Lindzee this is Kelli and Jeannie, tell Brax way to go, you are in big trouble, he has rodeo in his veins! You better start looking for a GEO Metro so he and all his bull riding buddies can go dwon the rodeo trail! Tell him good job! And good job on the video!
I had no clue brax was that into this cowboy stuff... that is so funny. me and Kyle were laughing so hard at that video. He's great. You tell him were so proud of him.
I heard he did awesome! Way to go Braxton!
Can you believe I just cried a little bit like a proud mother--or something. I miss HIM! (and you, of course) I miss his little "hick"-man voice. What a stud. I think of you guys every time Max opens his mouth (which is a lot) because I used to get a kick out of some of the things Brax would say to me when he was 3 and 4-ish, and NOW Max says some of the same things. It makes me very nostalgic.
